February - August 2008
A chance to experience some of the fun of rallying from the comfort of your own home. The internet table-top rallying championship has classes for everyone from Novices to Masters, is great fun, cheap to enter (and the money raised goes to charity), and earns you your very own world ranking! If you are entering please let us know by so that we can see how CUAC members are getting on.
Friday 29th February
One of CUAC's traditional Lent term rallies the details this year depend on whether "the other motor club" can join us. Watch this space.
Friday 7th-Sunday 9th March
Endurance Rallying is the class between road rallying and stage rallying. It normally requires lightly modified cars, but the Audi South-West rally this year has a class in which unmodified cars can compete. A great chance to investigate endurance rallying and see if this is a sport you might want to get involved with. If you'd like more information please .
Friday 22nd June
A unique CUAC event for May week and a rare chance for motorsport in central London. Starting at 2100 and ending at 0500 we'll be going to London and competing to do unusual things, collect strange objects and generally have fun while everyone else in the city sleeps. A fuller description of the event is available, and results will be posted if someone reminds me what they were.
Thursday 11th October
Location TBC. An opportunity to find out everything you ever wanted to know about road rallying, how rallies work and how to solve the navigation. CUAC rally crews will be around to answer an questions about rallying and there will be a table-top rally to demonstrate how they work and to practise for the real thing. An ideal chance to find out if you'd like to enter the Ariel Rally.
Friday 19th October
CUAC's first rally of the season will make an excellent introduction for newcomers, and a good competition for experts. With 60 miles of winding roads in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, a gentle introductory nav for those who've never navigated before and a more "interesting" nav for experts the Ariel promises to be a fun event for all. It could also serve as good practice for the Chelmsford Pheasant Plucker Rally the next weekend.

Saturday 27th October
Chelmsford MC have kindly invited CUAC to participate in the Pheasant Plucker Rally. The main rally is a National B, but there is also a Clubmans' event on the same route.
Friday 23rd November
The location of this years Thousand Fens Rally isn't yet confirmed, but wherever it ends up it will have the traditional driving focused route with fast sections and challenging corners.
Saturday 8th December
One last opportunity to go rallying this term with Chelmsford's Preston Road Rally. This one is (I think) only running as a Natitonal B, so you'll need a competition license to enter, but it promises around 180 miles of route, for a whole night of rallying fun, and breakfast at the finish!
