Karting

The CUAC karting year consists of five/six rounds of indoor and outdoor karting at various circuits around Cambridge. All equipment (including the kart) is provided by the circuit owners, so you just have to turn up and race! No experience is necessary! The powerful, twin-engine karts can reach speeds of up to 70mph, guaranteeing plenty of fun and exciting racing for everyone. There's also the opportunity to represent Cambridge in the British University Karting Championship (BUKC) and the annual Varsity Karting contest.

Congratulations to Ben Yarwood who won the 4th annual CUAC Karting Championship (CUACKC). Full drivers' standings. 2007/08 will see the 5th running of the Championship with, we hope, two rounds in Michaelmas term and more through the year. The championship regulations are available now and details of the races will be posted here as soon as they are confirmed.

To get you started in this fascinating sport we have put together a guide to karting, and for more some more in depth articles look at the karting links.
